Professor Emerita Dr. Maliah Sulaiman is a distinguished academic in accounting with over 40 years of experience in teaching, research, and professional service. She is currently the Director of SALIHIN Academy and Honorary Professor at UNISEL, with past academic appointments at institutions including IIUM, University of Otago (NZ), Curtin University (Australia), and the University of Sharjah (UAE).
Her scholarly work spans Islamic accounting, environmental management accounting, governance, and sustainability. She has received multiple national and international awards, including the IFAC Article of Merit Award and recognition as one of the 300 Most Influential Women in Islamic Business and Finance. She has served on the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board, the MIA Council, and ISOβs expert panel on Material Flow Cost Accounting.
